Covid-19: A Bold Brushed Display Font for Makers and Creative Sellers

Covid-19 Adds Drama to Candle Labels and Product Packaging

As a printable creator who designs for Etsy and small handmade shops, I recently tested Covid-19 on a set of candle labels for a client’s new soy candle line. The brushed texture and bold strokes immediately gave the labels a high-end, artisanal feel. Since Covid-19 is a bold and brushed display font, it’s perfect for short, impactful phrases like “Lavender Fields” or “Cozy Nights.” The font’s texture mimics real brushwork, giving the design a handcrafted vibe without needing to actually hand-letter anything. I layered it over a soft kraft paper background, and the contrast was stunning. It added a sense of luxury and authenticity that’s hard to achieve with standard fonts.

Using Covid-19 for Wedding Invitations and Elegant Branding

When I started working on a wedding suite for a rustic-chic bridal client, I wanted a font that could serve as both a logo and a header style. I chose Covid-19 because of its dramatic flair and brushed strokes that evoke a sense of timeless elegance. Paired with a clean sans serif like Montserrat for body text, it created a beautiful contrast. The bride loved how the font brought a modern yet organic feel to the save-the-date cards and venue signage. Because Covid-19 is a bold and brushed display font, it’s best used for titles and accents rather than long paragraphs. But for wedding stationery, where impact matters more than length, it’s a showstopper.

How Covid-19 Elevates Sticker Sheets and Printable Wall Art

I recently updated my sticker bundle for planners and bullet journals, and I wanted a font that could stand out on both printed and digital versions. I used Covid-19 for phrases like “You’ve Got This” and “Dream Big” on motivational sticker sheets. The font’s brush texture gave the stickers a hand-drawn look that customers love. For wall art, I layered Covid-19 over soft watercolor textures to create a series of minimalist affirmations. Since Covid-19 is a bold and brushed display font, it’s ideal for single words or short quotes. It reads clearly even at a distance, making it great for wall prints and small canvas signs. Just keep in mind that this font isn’t suited for small text or detailed descriptions — it’s all about visual impact.

Covid-19 Works Well for Boutique Tags and Merchandise Design

While designing packaging for a local boutique’s new line of handmade soaps, I needed a font that could work across tags, swing tags, and thank-you cards. Covid-19 offered the right mix of boldness and charm. I used it for the boutique’s name on kraft paper tags and paired it with a simple script font for the tagline. The brushed texture of Covid-19 made the tags feel more personal and high-quality. I also tested it on tote bags and mugs, and it scaled beautifully. The font maintained its character even when printed at different sizes. However, for very small applications like jewelry tags or detailed product descriptions, I’d recommend using a cleaner font instead. Covid-19 is a bold and brushed display font, so it shines best where visual presence matters more than precision.

Pairing Covid-19 with Other Fonts for Stronger Design Layouts

One thing I’ve learned from years of designing printables and product mockups is that font pairing can make or break a layout. Covid-19 works best when balanced with a simpler font. I often pair it with a modern sans serif for digital templates or a classic serif for vintage-inspired greeting cards. If I’m going for a fully handcrafted look, I’ll combine it with a cursive or handwritten font for subheaders. Since Covid-19 is a bold and brushed display font, it’s not meant to carry an entire design alone — but when used as a title or accent font, it brings a strong visual anchor to the layout. Make sure to adjust spacing and alignment carefully to avoid overwhelming the design.
